Terms and Conditions

Welcome to UChef Kitchen. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and your booking of classes, private events, gift cards, and membership services. By booking a class, purchasing a gift card, signing up for membership, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Bookings & Payments

  • All class bookings are made through our website and processed via WooCommerce checkout using CHIP as our payment gateway.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your seat.
  • Each class has a limited number of seats; bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • For group bookings of more than 20 people, please contact us directly via email to arrange a suitable class or private session.
  • You must be 18 years or older to make a booking with UChef Kitchen.
  • Children 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the class.
  • Children 4 years old and under attend free of charge; however, no additional plate, table setting, or meal portion will be provided for children in this age group. Children 4 and under must also be accompanied by an adult.
  • Booking in advance is the best way to guarantee your spot — walk-ins are always welcome, but availability can’t be promised. Because we prepare all our ingredients fresh for the best possible experience, we ask for at least 4 hours’ notice for bookings; anything closer to class time may not be able to be confirmed. Full details in our Terms and Conditions.

2. Accessibility & Facility Information

  • Our classroom is air-conditioned. Smoking is not permitted inside the classroom; a designated smoking area is available outside.
  • Please note that our classes are not currently wheelchair accessible.

3. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

  • All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable once payment is confirmed.
  • We are unable to offer refunds for no-shows, late cancellations, or change of mind.
  • If you are unable to attend, please contact us as early as possible — while we cannot guarantee a reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests on a case-by-case basis.

4. Late Arrival

  • Check-in closes promptly at the scheduled class start time. This is to avoid interruptions and to respect other guests who have arrived on time.
  • Late arrivals may not be permitted to join the class, and no refund will be issued in such cases.
  • We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your class start time for check-in.

5. Food Allergies & Health Disclaimer

  • Our kitchen prepares food that may contain common allergens, and cross-contamination may occur during classes.
  • If you or anyone in your group has a food allergy or dietary restriction, please inform us at the time of booking so our staff can do their best to accommodate and safeguard your needs.
  • UChef Kitchen cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and is not liable for allergic reactions arising from participation in our classes, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Some of our products contain peanuts and coconut. Please inform our staff in advance if you have any food allergies, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

6. Private Events & Group Bookings

  • Private events, corporate team-building sessions, birthday celebrations, and custom event hosting are available upon request.
  • Advance booking is required for all private events.
  • A non-refundable payment is required to confirm any private event or group booking.
  • Custom event requests (e.g. themed menus) should be directed to us via email or phone for availability and pricing.

7. Gift Cards

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated at the time of issue.
  • Unused value on an expired gift voucher will not be refunded or extended, except at UChef Kitchen’s discretion.

8. Membership

  • Membership plans (including monthly and annual tiers) are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value.
  • Class credits included with membership are subject to the terms disclosed at sign-up and, unless stated otherwise, unused monthly credit expires at the end of each billing cycle.
  • Membership discounts and birthday privileges apply only to the account holder and are subject to identification verification at check-in where applicable.
  • Monthly and annual memberships with auto-renewal will continue to renew automatically until cancelled by the member in accordance with our cancellation process.

9. Changes to Classes, Menus & Schedules

  • UChef Kitchen reserves the right to amend class schedules, instructors, or menu items without prior notice, due to factors such as ingredient availability, instructor availability, or operational requirements. We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected guests in advance where possible.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to unforeseen circumstances or other circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel a class, affected customers will be offered the choice of a full refund or the option to reschedule to another available class.

10. Photography & Media

  • During classes and events, photos or videos may be taken for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels. By attending a class or event, you consent to the possible use of such images unless you notify our staff in advance that you do not wish to be photographed.
  • If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform our staff before the class begins, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UChef Kitchen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in our classes or events. Participation is at your own risk, and guests are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by our staff.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

14. Store Voucher

  • Your voucher code will be provided to you at check-in or at the end of your class.
  • One-time use: Each voucher may only be redeemed once. This applies even if the full value of the voucher is not used in that single transaction.
  • No partial carry-forward: Any unused balance remaining after a voucher is applied is forfeited immediately at the time of redemption and cannot be carried forward, refunded, or exchanged for cash.
  • Friendly and transferable: We understand a voucher can make a lovely gift — vouchers may be shared or gifted to family and friends. Simply provide the voucher code at checkout to redeem it.
  • Cannot be combined: Vouchers cannot be combined with other vouchers, discounts, or ongoing promotions.
  • No cash value: Vouchers have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, in whole or in part.
